Rated 9.87 of 10, The Enchanted Forest was the highlight of Atlas Copco’s Global Leadership Conference.

In conjunction with their Global Leadership Conference, Atlas Copco (MR) asked us to produce “a Swedish experience to be remembered”. And so, the concept “The heart of Sweden” was born, with Swedish culture, nature, hospitality and cuisine as the experiential platform.

The enchantment began as the guests walked past the first pine trees into the misty forest. Whilst following the trail along a flowing stream, the distant sounds of howling wolves and whispering elves started to fill the air. The deeper into the forest the guests wandered, the louder and more present the mythological hidden creatures became.

As curious elves tried to lure the guests into the hazy lake, dangerous creatures lurked in the woods. Hungry trolls, vengeful forest nymphs and the sinister Nixie, all of them trying to tempt the guests off their path deeper into the darkness of the forest – or worse, beneath the water.

Luckily, all the guests managed to resist the bewitching characters’ attempts, and reached the final destination: A custom-built secret venue by the lake with an exclusive restaurant offering fine-dining inspired by delicacies from the Swedish forest and lakes. This unique culinary experience was accompanied by folklore attractions and live music performed by world-renowned Swedish folk musicians.

The festivities continued until midnight when suddenly the stream lit up and the lights in the venue dimmed. Shimmering in Atlas Copco blue, the illuminated stream guided the guests out of the forest. Wood fires lit their path as they heard the sound of wolves howling in the distance and of elves whispering their goodnights.

The moment the final guests left the event area, the forest fell silent and dark. It was almost like nothing ever happened… Did the event really occur?

Today, many years later, people still speak fondly about “that amazing night in the forest”. It certainly achieved its goal of becoming a memorable experience.
