The reveal of the new Epiroc brand called for an experience that marked the dawn of a new era, so we built the concept around new horizons—literally.

The historical transition from Atlas Copco to Epiroc represented a paradigm shift of immense importance. This new chapter was celebrated by the company’s global leadership at a custom-built hilltop venue, nestled within a modern art park and offering mile-long views of the open countryside. We named the event “New Horizons.”

In 2018, the mining division of Atlas Copco officially transitioned into Epiroc, emerging as an independent publicly traded company on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. To commemorate this significant change, Richard was asked to create both an internal reveal of the new Epiroc brand logotype and a celebratory event to mark the beginning of this new era.

The event, themed “New Horizons,” took place at a custom-built venue perched on the side of a steep hill, offering breathtaking views that stretched for miles over the countryside. Nestled within a sculpture park, the venue provided a magical backdrop as daylight faded. Inside, the design echoed the shapes, forms, and colours of Epiroc’s new graphical profile, seamlessly blending the brand’s identity with its surroundings.

The evening’s entertainment took guests on a musical journey through time, celebrating the rich history of Atlas Copco since 1873 and transitioning to the exciting new beginnings of Epiroc today. The night culminated in a stunning “grand finale” musical light show that brought the sculptures in the park to life.

Described by guests as a truly unforgettable evening, the event celebrated Epiroc’s new brand and identity and helped set the tone for their exciting journey ahead.
